May’s Green Sunday looks at Urban and Community Re-generation – ‘Creativity and the City’ as part of the Festival of Europe and Pudding Mill River programme.
Green Sundays take place at Arcola Theatre on the first Sunday of every month. A meeting place for people and minds, Green Sundays provide an opportunity for the ecologically curious to explore environmental issues through music, film, spoken word, games and discussions.
This summer marks a new phase in the Olympic development. The ‘Blue period’ is over. The vivid blue perimeter fence that surrounds the Olympic park is gradually being replaced by high security electrified wire. The May Green Sunday will mark this point in the countdown to the new city of 2012 and explore the history, culture of East London and the sustainability of the Olympic legacy.

4pm - Capoeira Angola performance by Kabula
5pm - Short film programme - The Games, The Village Underground and Solitary Life Of Cranes.
