The Horniman Museum is a pioneer in using objects to tell stories and learn about the world, its peoples, their cultures and its environments
As environmental educators, we are constantly finding different ways to encourage people to learn. Using objects can be a powerful way to explore new ideas and deepen existing understanding. Object-based learning is a multisensory, active and participatory educational approach. It uses objects as evidence of the people who made it and the culture or environment they come from. This training will explore how you can get people interacting with both man-made and natural objects to engage them in learning on a particular topic or theme.
