Join us at a Coleridge Primary School for this fantastic opportunity to learn about all aspects of working with willow. This is a practical training day that will enable you to use willow techniques in your sessions.

Course Trainer: Angela Bullock and Georgia Wisbey

Programme:

10.00 Introduction to growing willow, willow species, coppicing and pollarding.
11.00 Practical activity: Learn how to make willow craft objects.
1.00 Lunch.
1.45 Practical activity: Large-scale willow construction – build a wigwam.
4.00 Information about willow suppliers, species and activity handouts.

PLEASE BRING: A good pair of Secateurs’, twine/string, gloves/fingerless, small trowel & kneeling pad if required, together with suitable clothing for outdoors work.

Course suitable for: environmental educators, play workers, teachers, people who work outdoors with volunteers and event workshop facilitators.
