At a recent London Sustainable Schools Forum we hatched a plan that one day a year… every child in the UK should be learning outside the classroom… So after looking at annual weather reports, and thinking about the packed school time tables we decided that “Friday 6th July 2012” would be the first day that we would try it.
So we are looking for one class in each borough of London to lead the way… to show it is possible. We have a page on project dirt, and to register your class’ intention then take a photo of your classroom empty with the name of the class and school that is going to be “outside” on Friday 6th July 2012.
(The alternative title of this day is “Bring your unbrella to school day”)
