LEEF Advisory Group

The LEEF Advisory group is made up of experts & practitioners from the LEEF membership, who support the LEEF Project Manager to deliver the LEEF annual plan, provide advice and troubleshoot where necessary.

The Advisory group does this by:
  • Attending meetings, in person or digitally.
  • Sharing knowledge, expertise, and advice to support the paid employee and volunteers so that they can fulfil their roles delivering workshops, training days and networking events to LEEF members.
  • Attending LEEF events and getting to know other LEEFers
  • Actively promoting LEEF and its events and representing the organisation in a positive light.
  • Always acting in the best interests of the charity – Not allowing your personal interests, views or prejudices affect your conduct as a member of the steering group.

Being on the LEEF Advisory group is a voluntary position but the benefits in terms of networking and being involved in training events are limitless. You will also work closely with a wide variety of experienced professionals in the field. Your role on the Advisory group may be short or long term (minimum 1 year), or project specific. We are particularly looking for a mix of people including those who have experience:

  • of successful grant applications and the subsequent project management.
  • in monitoring and evaluating projects against their objectives.
  • of working with and managing membership organisations.

 Advisory group members should also:
  • Listen to others and enjoy contributing to a team effort.
  • Have a bit of common sense
  • Have a robust knowledge of education and/or the environment that they are confident sharing with others.
