“If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together”
Who are we?
We are a network for London’s most innovative and passionate urban Environmental and Sustainability Educators. Our members work and volunteer in environmental education roles from frontline teaching to backroom policy and everything in-between.
For further detail about our aims and activities, take a look at our latest Annual Report.
how are we managed?
LEEF is an independent charitable incorporated organisation (registered charity: 1168740). As a membership organisation we have a wealth of environmental education experience including information on practitioners, facilities and resources all geared up for the capital’s educators. We are managed by our Board of Trustees who are all experienced environmental educators with a passion for the sector. Our Trustees are assisted by representatives from the leading environmental education organisations in London who volunteer their time to run the network.
How do we network?
Members share information face-to-face at training and social events and online via our yahoo group, Facebook page and Twitter. Details of our forthcoming training and networking events are here.
LEEF events are open to anyone interested in environmental education in Greater London. Members receive a discount for training. Resources and information from previous training events can be found on this website.
We also occasionally produce printed 'LEEFlets' written by members. People who would like a career in environmental education are invited to attend a LEEF training event for free in return for producing a LEEFlet based on the knowledge and ideas they acquired at the training session. Please contact LEEF if you are interested in this opportunity.
