Fiona Stone

Freelance green worker and Outreach Projects Manager, Stepney City Farm
Fiona started her career working for Central Government before realising that she was destined to work outdoors. She started volunteering with the youth club at Stepney City Farm and after 2 years moving into, and then out of, mainstream secondary teaching, she began running environmental education workshops at Stepney City Farm. Currently she runs a gardening project for adults with mental health needs at Mudchute City Farm, a gardening group for Bangladeshi women in Whitechapel, and tutors looked-after children in maths. She is also trying to set up a community animal farm in Brixton.

Fiona was awarded LEEF Fellowship on 12 July 2016 at the Royal Parks Foundation Education Centre, Hyde Park.
