Karen has worked in outdoor learning for over 14 years. She has a wide range of experience working with all ages, from a diverse range of backgrounds, including special needs adults. Her position at Lee Valley gives her the opportunity to develop outdoor learning programmes across 10,000 acres of parkland and at world class Olympic legacy venues . She is a long standing member of LEEF, Essex Learning for Sustainability (providers network) (ELFS) and the Institute of Outdoor Learning (IOL). She also serves on the IOL National Field Studies Special Interest Group for which she run a National Conference in January 2016.
Karen was awarded her Fellowship on 12 July 2016. She has chosen to share her notes on 'Unlocking the potential of Outdoor Learning' and the Lea Valley Teacher Evaluation form with LEEF members and other environmental educators.
