Maia Sparrow

Education Officer, Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses
​In addition to her role at Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses Maïa is part of a team running an after school club at Oasis Nature Garden. She has a life-long love of nature after a childhood of wild camping with an organisation who promoted 'learning by doing and teaching by being'.Maïa lived in Latin America (Bolivia and El Salvador) for 2 years where she worked on permaculture, solar cooking and education projects and then fell into working in environmental education in London when she started a sessional role at Vauxhall City Farm. She has since worked with London Wildlife Trust and The Challenge, as well as freelance work in natural building, adult education and therapeutic horticulture.

​Maïa was awarded her LEEF Fellowship on 12 July 2016.
