Would you like to be a LEEF trustee?
Would you like to help shape the charity as we develop best practice and help our members to engage more Londoners with the environment?
This is an exciting opportunity for which you are all eligible to apply. You will be joining a team of trustees from a variety of organisations (and freelancers!) across London and will stand for an initial term of 4 years.
Attached is some information about being a trustee of LEEF along with a list of the qualities we are looking for. We don't expect any individual trustee to excel in all of them. Our aim is to establish a balance of knowledge and skills representing the membership of LEEF.
You can find out more about being a trustee on the charity commission website. There is also training available for people becoming a trustee for the first time. Some people are disqualified by law from acting as charity trustees. Subject to waiver provisions, this includes anyone who:

Please send a CV and brief cover letter (no more than one side of A4) outlining why you'd make a great addition to the trustee team.
In the event that we receive a high volume of interest in the trustee position; trustees will look at the current skill-set in the committee and select the individual who complements it most at that time. There are other opportunities to get more involved in LEEF and we look forward to discussing this with you.

- has an unspent conviction for an offence involving dishonesty or deception
- is currently declared bankrupt (or is subject to bankruptcy restrictions or an interim order) or has an individual voluntary agreement (IVA) with creditors
- is disqualified from being a company director
- has previously been removed as a trustee by either the commission or the High Court due to misconduct or mismanagement
