LEEF has trustee vacancies for the first time since we registered as a charity. These positions are due to one of our current Trustees stepping down, and others reaching the end of their terms. It is thrilling times for the charity as we are partway through a significant long term funded project and are looking forward to our national conference in October 2019. Would you like to be involved and help shape the charity as we develop best practice and help our members to engage more Londoners with the environment? You will join a team of 7 Trustees from a variety of organisations (and freelancers!) across London and will stand for an initial term of 4 years, starting in August 2019. Please read this page for information about being a trustee of LEEF along with a list of the qualities we are looking for. We don’t expect you to excel in all of them; our aim is to establish a balance of knowledge and skills representing the membership of LEEF. To find out more about being a trustee in general why not visit the Charity Commission website information on trustees (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/charity-trustee-whats-involved). There is also training available for people becoming a trustee for the first time. Some people are disqualified by law from acting as charity trustees, and you should read this information. How to Apply Please send a CV and short cover letter (no more than one side of A4) to [email protected] outlining why you’d make a great addition to the trustee team. The deadline for applications is Monday 3rd June 2019. In the event that we receive a high volume of interest in the trustee position; trustees will look at the current skillset in the committee and select the individual who complements it most at that time. There are other opportunities to get more involved in LEEF and we look forward to discussing this with you. |
